How to eat WELL on the cheap

To eat well could cost a lot of money. Cheap food comes from:

In my definition, good food is unprocessed food that does not contain stuff you can not pronounce.

Organic and pesticide free food is available, but usually costs more. The hardest part is that you have to cook it yourself.

By learning how to cook you can save a lot and still eat healthy.

So there is a gist of my experience: buy fresh, buy local, buy organic and cook yourself.
P.S. This picture was taken at local Trader Joes, and I don't think those pumpkins were organic at all. Maybe they were even trucked in from Mexico - who knows. Check labels!

Designer clothes for cheap

I love my local Goodwill store. They have an endless supply of the last decades greatest fashions.

This is how it works: someone goes into a department store and buys a $70 shirt. Then that person wears the shirt couple times and after that shirt sits in the closet. Then the "cleaning time" comes. All those shirts and other seldom used items get taken to the local charity store, where they get washed and prepped for sale.

I show up and pick up last years/decades $70 shirt for $5. I am wearing one right now, and you never know what you will find at thrift stores.

This is the only time I enjoy shopping - I know I will not spend too much.

I think you will too.

What this is all about

Money doesn't grow on trees, and I hate wasting it.

The problem is that I have champagne taste and a beer budget.

This blog will be about my experience in L.A. - how you can save money and still have the lifestyle you want.

Where to buy clothes on the cheap? How can I afford that fancy iPhone? Where can I eat? I will talk about those topics and more in my future posts.

See you soon!
